Tickets

Where can I buy tickets?

You have two options:

  • Online on our website.
  • At the show – onsite box office opens 1 hour before the show. Cash and eftpos facilities are available.

I’ve purchased a ticket online. How do I collect it?

After you book online you should receive a confirmation email with the option to print your ticket or view an online version.

There’s no need to collect tickets beforehand. Simply print the tickets at home or display your ticket on your phone at the box office. We recommend this option to save paper!

General

What time do the venues open?

The gates to the performance area open 60 minutes prior to the start of the show.

Where possible we will admit latecomers in to the main audience viewing area at a suitable point in the performance.  Should it become necessary for you to leave once the performance has started, we ask that you do so with consideration to the performers and audience members.

Can I smoke onsite?

Our audience areas are smoke-free, so please limit any smoking to outside the roped off area.

Do we need to bring a chair or blanket? 

Audience members are welcome to bring a travel rug, chair or cushion to sit on – whatever you need to make yourself comfortable on the grass. Please note that low chairs can be used throughout the audience viewing area. If you bring a standard height chair, these will be placed at the rear of the audience viewing space.

Is there shade cover at the performance?

Our productions take place outdoors and there is no cover. Please consider bringing a hat, coat, blanket, sunscreen and a water bottle when attending. Umbrellas cannot be raised during the performance unless you are seated at the very rear.

Lost and Found – If you have lost an item at one of our productions, please email info@intheparkproductions.com.au. If you find an item, please pass it onto one of our team members so hopefully it can be reunited with its owner.

Are your productions suitable for children? 

Yes! Although some of Shakespeare’s work deals with mature themes, all In The Park productions are created with young people in mind. There is no swearing in our performances and all fight scenes are safely choreographed. We highly recommend talking about the themes of the play with your child beforehand if you are concerned they may become distressed.

The performance is in a public park. Can we BYO?

We are fully licenced, please feel free to bring alcohol. We feel William would have approved.

Will there be food and drinks available to purchase at the performance? 

We recommend bringing your own food to enjoy during the performance or eating at one of the delicious nearby food venues beforehand. There is a limited selection of refreshments available at the show, which varies at each location.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are not allowed at performances. However, services animals are always welcome.

Photos & Filming 

Before the show, you are allowed to take photos of the stage, as well as with your family and friends.  However, so that the performers and audience are not impeded, you are not allowed to take photos during any part of the performance.

Weather

If you are unsure of weather conditions, you can check the Bureau of Meteorology radar here.

Usually, performances proceed if it is raining. However, from time to time, it will be necessary to cancel a performance.

WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • When a performance is cancelled in advance of the scheduled start time due to adverse weather conditions, where possible and time permitting, we make every effort to inform ticket holders by SMS or phone.
  • If In The Park Productions cancels a performance due to adverse weather conditions, your tickets will be valid for another performance during the same production season. Please feel free to attend a new performance with your ticket for the cancelled performance.
  • If it is not possible for you to attend another performance during the same production season, please email info@intheparkproductions.com.au to discuss the next steps.
  • Single tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase except, as outlined in the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice, if an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated.
